Another great read from Michele Bardsley in the Broken Heart Vampries series. Because this is such a long, ongoing series with repeat characters and an overarching story line I do not recommend starting with this book. And in fact, even though I've loved and enjoyed the series for many years I felt a little lost initially because it has been a while since I've been in this world so I had forgotten characters and plot points. I had wished that Ms. Bardsley did a better job of recapping the series at the beginning of the story as a refresher but she ended up weaving information and reminders so well throughout the story that in the end I needed no refresher. Only Lycans Need Apply was another great story about the werewolves that live in Broken Heart. Drake is drawn to Moira, archaeologist and college professor, but she initially has her mind wiped after an encounter with vampires and forgets him. When her life is put in to danger, Drake is there to not only assist in the rescue, but to help her through a challenge to save the vampires. Vague, I know, but I don't want to give away too much of the story. There were two parts to Moira's challenge and I thought the first was very well done with lots of great build up between Drake and Moira but the second part was a very quick solution. I almost wished there was a little more to challenge her and Drake. Outside of that, the same great humor and secondary characters we've come to love from Ms. Bardsley. Plus some great alpha heroes to cheer for. Very excited for whatever Ms. Bardsley has coming next!

What can I say, I love the town of Broken Heart. Michele captures your imagination and takes you on a ride, thing is, you don't want it to stop. This was Drake's turn, gotta love those werewolves
Ok, right off, I need to say--I LOVED this heroine. She was smart, talented and funny. I've liked the royal triplets, and enjoyed seeing Drake get his hea in this book. And having a heroine who was ALREADY a PN, altho she didn't know it, was also really neat.
Oh it's over already? Darn well I guess I'll have to wait for the next one. Werewolves, vampires, witches and...you have to read it to see what else. I love, love,love Michele Bardsley books!!!!
I love all of the books in this series. My favorite is still the first. You do have to follow her glossary to understand the characters and remember who everyone is, especially since she adds more characters.
I enjoyed this book and had been waiting on it for sometime. Michele has taken the residents of Broken heart and woven a delightful tale of mystery, love, supernatural and light horror into an ongoing series. Light reading, well written and developed. While each can be read as a stand alone, together they are so much better!
I love love love this series. I'm on book 14 right now and that's the last one. I hope there are more to come since there are other characters to match up. I wish a cable channel or even an OTA channel picks this series up as a series of shows. It would make for great TV.
Please Michele Bardsley write more to this series but until then I am going to read your other books. I'm a permanent fan. Thank you Michele for writing this series.
I really loved this book. Moira was an incredible female lead and the I've liked Drake in the previous books so I was already on board for him to get his HEA. I only wish there were more chapters from his point of view. The few that were in the book were not enough.

I loved the twist (can't reveal, but very cool) and the walking ritual was a cool concept. My only complaint with this book was for a romance the sex scenes were very few, too few for my taste. But the mythology and storyline were intriguing enough for me to forgive that. I also loved Dove and hope she gets her own book soon. And always happy to see Patsy and her incredible no-nonsense attitude. And now with what happened at the end of the book it will be interesting to see what happens next in the "sleepy" little town of Broken Heart, OK.
