Brian Wassom presents a clear, concise and engaging summary of the legal issues surrounding social media use in educational settings. This area of law is evolving quickly, and Wassom does an excellent job of summarizing the (brief) history of social media-related cases and how they relate to the (not so brief) history of first amendment case law in educational settings. Because of the dynamic current state of this area of law, this reviewer hopes that this is merely the first in a series of comprehensive writings on this topic.
